Pearl Beach Arboretum, Pearl Beach
Jayden & Jackson
There was something familiar about Jayden and Jackson from the moment we met. Maybe it is because their story is not all that different to mine and Mel's. High school sweethearts who have been pretty much inseparable ever since, and who have literally grown up together. Add a shared love of country music, animals and travelling, plus a healthy dose of crazy, and it is no surprise we got along so well.
Their wedding at Pearl Beach Arboretum was a true reflection of who they are. They brought together the people they love, honoured the traditions that matter to them, including a Zoroastrian ceremony as part of the day, and still had a celebration that felt like their own. Anyone who has planned a wedding knows that is not always easy to pull off.
And they knew how to throw a party. I have photographed a lot of weddings, but that dance floor was something else. Every time I thought things might settle down, another song came on and off they went again, with a room full of people losing their minds to song after song.
They also pulled together an epic lineup of vendors. I was especially stoked to work alongside Lincoln from Glasshouse Films. I had recommended him to them, only to find out Jackson and Lincoln had worked together a few years earlier. Small world.
Jayden and Jackson, thank you for making me feel less like a vendor and more like an old mate who happened to bring a camera along.
“You were so easy to get along with, professional from the beginning. You made the day relaxed and just natural for us.” Jayden, married 2026
